An addressable fire alarm panel assigns a unique digital address to every single device — each smoke detector, heat detector, and manual call point. All devices connect to the panel via one or two continuous loops (also called SLC loops — Signalling Line Circuits). When any device activates, the panel immediately displays its specific address and location, for example: "Smoke Detector — 2nd Floor, Server Room, Device #14."
