What Does SITC Mean in Fire Safety?

SITC stands for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning — the four essential phases of deploying any fire safety system. As a single-point SITC contractor, Discreet Fire and Safety Solutions takes complete accountability from procurement of IS-certified equipment right through to a fully tested, documented and handed-over fire protection system.

Supply
Procurement of IS-marked, BIS-certified fire safety equipment directly from authorised manufacturers. All products carry valid test certificates, warranties and proper labelling before delivery to site.
Installation
Physical placement and wiring of all components as per IS standards, NBC 2016 norms and approved drawings. Our trained engineers ensure correct spacing, cabling, bracketing and earthing for every system type.
Testing
Rigorous point-by-point and integrated system testing — including loop testing, smoke/heat detector response tests, hydrant flow tests, pressure testing and panel alarm verification — with full documentation of results.
Commissioning
Formal handover with as-built drawings, test certificates, operation manuals, warranty cards and a commissioning report — all the documentation needed for fire NOC applications and insurance compliance.

SITC FAQs

SITC stands for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning. It is a turnkey contract model where a single contractor is responsible for procuring the equipment, installing it, conducting all tests, and formally handing over a fully operational system with documentation — rather than the client managing multiple separate vendors for each phase.
The key IS standards for fire system SITC in India include IS 2189 (fire detection and alarm systems), IS 3844 (code of practice for installation and maintenance of internal fire hydrants and hose reels), IS 15105 (sprinkler systems), IS 2190 (selection, installation and maintenance of portable first-aid fire extinguishers), IS 9457 (emergency lighting) and IS 2171 (specification for portable fire extinguishers). All systems must also comply with the National Building Code 2016.
Yes. Delhi Fire Services requires that all fire protection systems be installed by a competent contractor, tested per IS standards, and a commissioning certificate / test report be submitted as part of the fire NOC application. Without proper SITC documentation, fire NOC applications are typically rejected. Discreet Fire provides all documentation required by Delhi Fire Services, UP Fire Services and GNIDA.
Timelines depend on the system type and building size. For a small to medium commercial premise (up to 5,000 sq.ft), installation and testing of a fire alarm system takes approximately 3–7 working days. A fire hydrant system for a similar-sized building takes 1–3 weeks. Gas suppression systems for a single server room typically take 3–5 days. Large industrial or multi-storey projects can take 4–12 weeks. We provide a detailed project schedule before commencing any work.
Yes. Discreet Fire and Safety Solutions provides full SITC services across all of Delhi NCR including Noida (all sectors), Greater Noida, Gurugram (including Manesar and Sohna Road) and Ghaziabad (including Vasundhara, Indirapuram and Raj Nagar Extension). We handle UP Fire Services and GNIDA fire NOC documentation for projects in Noida and Ghaziabad.
Yes. We offer comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for all systems we install. Our AMC covers quarterly scheduled inspections, pressure testing, battery replacement, detector cleaning, refilling of extinguishers, and annual re-certification — keeping your systems compliant and ready at all times. AMC pricing is included in our commissioning handover proposal.
